The story centers on and Noboru Takagami , brothers who are descendants of the Mizuchi family. Tōru possesses a rare "Yin" bloodline that makes him a primary target for malicious youkai and other malevolent spirits. To protect them, their family unseals Kuugen Tenko , a powerful fox deity who had been imprisoned for centuries due to mischievous and reckless behavior.
