Following the death of her father, angst-ridden teenager Leah (Nicole Muñoz) is forced by her grieving mother (Laurie Holden) to move to a secluded house in the woods. Feeling isolated and resentful, Leah—who has a burgeoning interest in the occult—performs a ritual to summon a demon named "Pyewacket" to kill her mother. Though she immediately regrets the decision and tries to undo the spell, she soon realizes that the malevolent force has already been unleashed.
