In the frozen half of the island, Brook discovers a severed head that can speak. This head is revealed to be the samurai Kin'emon, who has been split into pieces by a mysterious power (later revealed to be Trafalgar Law’s Ope Ope no Mi ).
Luffy "befriends" the lower half of a samurai that was stuck in the dragon's skin. The legs are capable of running and even attacking, despite having no upper body.
