To combat online movie piracy, various measures are being taken. One approach is to educate consumers about the harm caused by piracy and to promote legitimate streaming services. Many entertainment companies are also working with internet service providers (ISPs) and law enforcement agencies to shut down piracy sites. Additionally, some countries have implemented laws and regulations to prevent piracy, such as the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) in the United States.
The rise of the internet and digital technology has transformed the way we access and consume entertainment content, including movies. With the proliferation of online platforms and streaming services, it's now easier than ever to watch and download movies. However, this convenience has also led to a surge in online movie piracy, which poses a significant threat to the entertainment industry. Online movie piracy is a significant threat to the entertainment industry. The ease of access to pirated content has made it challenging for the industry to protect its intellectual property. However, by educating consumers, promoting legitimate streaming services, and working with law enforcement agencies, the industry can combat piracy and protect its revenue. Ultimately, it's essential to respect the creative work of filmmakers and to support the industry by accessing content through legitimate channels. However, this convenience has also led to a
Online movie piracy has a significant impact on the entertainment industry. When people download or stream movies without paying for them, they are depriving the creators and producers of their rightful revenue. This can lead to a decline in profits, which can affect the livelihoods of people working in the industry, including actors, writers, directors, and producers. Moreover, piracy can also discourage investment in new projects, as investors may be reluctant to fund projects that are likely to be pirated. often in various resolutions
The link provided in the topic is a typical example of an online movie piracy site. These sites offer pirated copies of movies, often in various resolutions, including 720p and 480p. They also provide links to download the movies, which can be easily accessed by anyone with an internet connection. These sites often operate outside the law, and they may not have the necessary permissions or licenses to distribute the content.
Online movie piracy has become a major concern in recent years. The widespread availability of high-speed internet and the proliferation of websites and platforms offering free or pirated content have made it easy for people to download or stream movies without paying for them. According to a report by the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA), online piracy costs the film industry billions of dollars every year. The report estimates that in 2019, online piracy resulted in losses of over $29.2 billion to the global film industry.

I'll probably maintain my fork still, but I'll probably get some queues from this, thanks!
Btw I'm not really doing anything for QuakeForge, just forking their initial code. I have my own roadmap for this, which might be more Hexen II focused.

Does this generate the bunch of QC code necessary to map frames? :D

Not Really

Alright, just in time for the Blender 2.82 export is done. Big thanks to @Khreator for giving a great insight into exporting issues.
List of features:
+ Export support
+ Support for importing/exporting multiple skins
+ Better scaling adjustments, eyeposition follows scale factor
This is still considered an alpha release. But it should be good enough.

for a long time now: Would it be possible to save a blender physics simulation as frame animated .mdl/.md3?

Enable MDD export addon. Export your simulation to MDD. Remove the sim from the object. Import MDD back into your object. You now have all of your sim frames as separate shape keys, ready to export to .mdl

Actually

Disregard that. It works fine without any of that extra voodoo, just export whatever straight to .mdl

Then let's think about practical use cases.
First think that comes to my mind are death animations, sagging bodies.
Explosion debrie might also work out.
I guess anything fluidic is out of question, like a tiling wave simulation anim.
What else comes to mind?

Flags, fire, chains, breaking doors, breaking walls, etc.
